Please note 

  • This application is for current Mount Allison students only who are interested in participating in a summer exchange or study abroad program at one of our partner universities.  

  • You must have a current grade point average (GPA) of above 2.5 to apply to a summer exchange program. 

Available programs

The following summer exchange & study abroad programs are administered by Mount Allison and its affiliated partner universities. There are no language requirements for any of these programs although some programs offer language courses as part of their summer exchange programs.   Please note that dates of each program vary from university to university so please consult the webpages for each of the programs below and familiarize yourself with the courses available and the dates they are offered.  

Europe

  • Philipps Universitat Marburg ISU, Germany (tuition paid to Mount Allison for credits received.  Students will likely receive a 3 credits in German language and 3 credits in History, International Relations or Political Science. Program fee is paid to Marburg. There will be an additional program fee that is reduced due to tuition paid to MTA) 
  • Universität Tübingen, Germany June Summer School and August Summer School (tuition paid to Mount Allison for 3 credits that transfer back as POLS @ the 2200 level.  Please note in order to receive these credits, students must have previously completed POLS1001 with a minimum C-.  An additional program fee is paid to Tubingen that is reduced due to tuition paid to MTA)
  • The Hague Summer School, the Netherlands (all fees are paid directly to the host university, including tuition*) 
  • Southern Denmark University, Denmark (tuition paid to Mount Allison for 3 or 6 credits.  Program fee is paid to SDU) 
  • BI Norwegian Business School - Summer School at BI.  Courses in Sustainability and Data Science.

* please note that if program fees and tuition are paid directly to our partner university, students will need to complete a Letter of Permission (LOP) at Mount Allison University in order to transfer the credits back to their degree.  The cost of an LOP is $50 CAN.
