Founded in 1839, Mount Allison University attracts some of the most talented and creative minds from across the country and around the world to Sackville, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Vice-President, International and Student Affairs and as a senior member of an essential Student Affairs team, the Director of Student Experience has the overall responsibility of providing effective vision, leadership, management, administration, and coordination of a robust student life portfolio. The Director is tasked with providing strategic direction and operational leadership that promotes student engagement, retention, inclusion, diversity, and internationalization, as well as positive residence life experience and off- campus liaison. The Director also plays a lead role in the administration of student conduct processes, the Sexualized Violence Policy, and the Anti-Racism Education and Response Policy.

As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned and strategic student affairs professional and are an experienced administrative leader. You are well versed in current trends and initiatives within the student affairs realm across the country and beyond and you are always seeking out new, innovative ways to enhance the student experience. You are an exceptional communicator, collaborator and people leader and you have proven your ability to inspire, engage and support your team, your colleagues and students alike. Positivity, authenticity and high integrity are hallmarks of your leadership. You actively strive to build and foster inclusive communities and you authentically engage with equity deserving communities, including black, indigenous, people of colour and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.
