Position description

The Department of Psychology at Mount Allison University invites applications for a stipendiary position. The successful candidate will be required to teach Psychology 1011 Introduction to Psychology II in the Fall term, see https://www.mta.ca/academic_calendar/Psychology.html).

The course will run from September 3 until December 22, 2024, with an expected enrollment of 204 students. The class consists of 3 class hours per week and is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 11:30-12:20. Although the course is scheduled in person on the Sackville (NB) campus, the possibility of delivering the course in a hybrid format (in-person and online) or synchronously online (fully online on the days/times) may be considered.

The anticipated start date for the position is September 3, 2024, subject to budgetary approval.

Candidates ought to have completed, or be in the process of completing, a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field and preferably will have previous teaching experience. Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae, letters of reference, and evidence of effective teaching (if available) to:
