Giving Tuesday at Mount Allison — November 29

24 Nov 2022

Mount Allison is participating in Giving Tuesday on November 29. Giving Tuesday is a global movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

In this spirit of giving, the University is asking for donations of any amount from alumni and friends for the Mountie2Mountie Fund, which directly impacts the lives of students in need.

On Tuesday, November 29, you can donate securely online at mta.ca/donate and direct your donation to the Mountie2Mountie Fund. You can also make a gift by phone using a credit card by calling 1-866-890-6318 or 506-364-2343.

Faculty and staff at Mount Allison are also participating in Giving Tuesday by gathering supplies for the student food bank and personal care kits for those who experience sexual violence. Giving can be through food or personal care items, gift cards for the local pharmacy or grocery store, or monetary donations at mta.ca/donate or by cash/cheque/credit on Giving Tuesday at the Student Centre booth on November 29.

“On Giving Tuesday we want to provide avenues for our community both on and off campus to support our students in the ways they need it most,” says Manager of Alumni Giving Marcie Meekins (’12). “We are looking forward to spearheading this important initiative and giving our students a boost just before exam season and the holidays.”

Mount Allison is built on a culture of philanthropy and Giving Tuesday is another great example of the support our community provides to our students.
