Remembrance Day service at Mount Allison

University offices closed in observance on Nov. 11

In observance of Remembrance Day, members of the University community are encouraged to attend the combined inter-denominational Legion Service in Convocation Hall at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019.

Following the service, University President Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau, Chaplain Rev. John Perkin, and other University officials will proceed to the Wallace McCain Student Centre for the observance of Remembrance Day in the reading of the names of the war dead and laying of wreaths at 11a.m. in the Atrium on the main floor, where the plaques honouring the war dead have been placed on a Memorial Wall. All members of the Mount Allison community are welcome.

  • No classes will be held the week of Monday, Nov. 11 – Friday, Nov. 15 as it is the University’s Fall Reading Week.
  • University offices will be closed Monday, November 11 in observance of Remembrance Day.
  • The Ralph Pickard Bell Library will be open Monday from 8:10 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and the Music Library will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.
  • The Athletic Centre will open Monday, November 11 at 1:00 p.m. and the Fitness Centre will be closed.
